Common Buttons and Icons

Records that users are authorised to access contain buttons and/or icons at the top of the screen which are used to navigate between records, to save, to delete records or to view history.

New Record – Takes the user automatically to a new blank record.

Delete - Deletes the current record from the database.

Save Saves the completed record into database. A record must be saved before you proceed to the next record or any data entered on that screen will be lost.  The ‘SAVE’ button will not be visible if you did not edit the record.

View History – Displays a pop-up window showing previous records changes. It displays records only within the current reporting period.

 

 

Previous / Next Record   Transfers you to the previous or next record in the selection respectively. Used to scroll through records.

 

First / Last Record – Transfers you automatically to the first or last record in the selection respectively. Used to scroll through records.

Close  – Closes the current record from the database.

Spell-check– Performs a spell check of the current record from the database. Can add or amend words through the pop up that appears when you click on the icon.

Edit Enables the current record from the database to be edited.

Filter - Expands the filter area displaying the filtering options.

Email - An email pop-up will be displayed once you click on this icon. You can send an email with regard to the relevant record to the users IDs available in the system or manually added email addresses.

Chart - Displays the chart available for the relevant subject. Further details available in KPI section.

Plus - To expand an individual record.

Minus - To collapse an individual record.

Task Grid - This will display a quick update pop-up with tasks/sub tasks linked to the relevant record. You can update the progress comments, status and % completed through the pop-up window.

Excel Export - To export the data into an excel sheet.

Discussion Forum - Discussion forum pop up will be displayed once you click on this icon. You can add comments and notify progress information on a particular task/action/KPI with an individual or a group.

Chat - Displays a pop-up window to notify another employee or a group on actions, tasks and KPIs.

Share - Share Actions, Tasks ,KPIs or related information with another council/agency within network.
