SWOT

This section describes the mechanism for analysing positive and negative issues and impacts. In addition, this provides actions or solution to remedy or improve the issues.

STEP 1: Select Environmental Analysis > SWOT Analysis to define analysis mechanism for a business plan. (Note that the term 'Environmental Analysis' is customised while creating the workflow for preparing this document and may change according to the terminology used within the organisation.)

STEP 2: Click 'SWOT Analysis' to move to the 'Brainstorm SWOT' tab screen.

STEP 3: Enter the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats in their respective text fields. Click 'Add' to add the data to the panes.

Use the , and icons on the right for assistance.

These are configured by your administrator.

 

STEP 4: Click the 'Next' navigation button in order to navigate to the Idea Generation tab screen.

The Idea Generation screen allows entering solutions (actions) based on the SWOT analysis.

STEP 5: Enter solutions in the respective text entry field and click 'Add'. These solutions are passed onto the next tab screen (Action Creation) for formulating action plans.

STEP 6: Click 'Next' to navigate to the 'Action Creation' tab screen.

This screen lists the solutions which were defined in the previous screen (Idea Generation tab).

STEP 7: Click icon to specify more actions to the list.

 

STEP 8: To modify the text, double click the relevant action text box.

STEP 9: Finalise the actions by selecting the relevant options.

This indicates the action is selected.

 

This indicates the action is rejected.

 

STEP 10: Click 'Save' to save the details. The saved data is added to the 'Action Selection and Development' stage.
